Gareth Herbert

Gareth joined Mortgage Advice Bureau in December 2004, prior to that he held various roles in SpicerHaart and the home service industry. He has now been in the mortgage industry for over 30 years.  He is also deputy chairman of AMI and sits on the board where the mission is to deliver a better business environment to the overall mortgage industry and take on board the views from industry professionals.

In his spare time, he loves spending time with his three daughters, Cerys, Nyah and Evie.  Gareth and his wife Stephanie work hard with charitable causes for children with cerebral palsy.  Some of you may have heard of Evie’s journey, this was set up to help many families achieve help in a ground-breaking operation in America.  Evie was one of the youngest to have the SDR operation and this allows Gareth and Stephanie’s daughter the opportunity to try and live her life as normal as it can be.  Evie and other children continue to make in-roads post operation which now stands at over 3,000 operations. Recent developments also mean the SDR operation is now available in the UK.

During this time Gareth has done the grim run three times, two marathons, two tough mudders and many other silly things. With continued support through organisations like Footsteps in Oxfordshire, his daughter continues to reach new goals.
